Amitis is a teenage girl who never takes off her orthodontic headgear, living under the pressure of a treatment that corrects her in public. Then she does something strange with her friend Sara.

A headgear is a device that makes a private discipline visible on the face. Photographing this film meant staying with that: the apparatus is always in frame, always the first thing seen, and the girl behind it is the thing the viewer has to work to reach. The stills sit close, at the distance where the hardware stops being medical and starts being a mask.
