Two sets of rules meet in these garments, and neither gives way. Photographing them meant refusing both available clichés — the ethnographic frame that treats covered dress as subject matter, and the fashion frame that treats it as styling. What is left is the work itself: cut, drape, and how a body moves inside a garment built to conceal it.

Range across poses and settings, because a designer working in this territory has to prove versatility that a conventional label is granted for free.
