Kashaneh House

Kashaneh House, in Kashan — architectural and drone photography for Shahab Towliat.

The building borrows from the traditional architecture of its region and rebuilds it in a new form. Photographing it meant making that lineage legible: close enough to show where the old vocabulary survives in the detail, high enough to show how the plan sits in Kashan rather than anywhere.

Ground and air were not two shoots but two distances on the same argument.
